Have you ever felt like something was missing in your career? That was me not too long ago. I have always done well in the administrative field for years, doing all kinds of secretarial things like typing, answering phones, filing, transcription, and the list goes on. But deep down, I knew that I wasn't doing what I was truly passionate about, and that was art and design.
Childhood Days
I remember when I was little, I used to always draw and doodle all over papers and notebooks in classes and at home and it made me happy. As I got older, I started learning how to work in the administrative field and had lots of success for a very long time. That is, until one day, I realized I wasn't "happy" doing this, even though I was very good at it.
Moment of Truth
One day, I decided to sit down and think about what really excited me to do, and that was drawing, sketching, and being on a computer doing graphic design. The time came when I finally decided to listen to my heart and take a chance on myself. I quit my administrative job and started exploring different opportunities in the art field that had always interested me. It was scary to leave the security of my job, but I knew that I had to follow my heart.
As I started to explore all of this, I found myself becoming more and more excited about the work I was starting to do. It was like a fire had been lit inside me! And before I knew it, I realized I had found my true calling...in the art field!
The Best Decision
Looking back now, I am so glad that I trusted my instincts and took the leap of faith. It wasn't an easy decision, but it ended up being the best one. Trusting myself has led me to a career that I genuinely love and am passionate about, as I am now the owner of my own graphic design business and am truly happy in my field.
In Conclusion
Even though I had lots of success in the administrative field, I am so happy that I took the chance and followed my heart to go into the art field, as it has changed my career -- and my life -- for the better.
